Firefox Is Working On A Striking New Logo For Its Version 57
By Izza Sofia, 09 Aug 2017
Mozilla is promoting the upcoming Firefox 57 update, scheduled to arrive in November this year. It will include a new interface—called Photon—for desktop and mobile, as well as the first stages of Project Quantum to improve performance.
To introduce the new Photon UI, it looks as though Mozilla could give the browser an even flatter logo; this is based on the inclusion of a new icon in the Nightly builds.
The latest Firefox logo looks flat but not fully so, with the upper half of the fox flattened out while parts of the tail were left spiky. With Photon, the tail is flattened, completing the transition to a flat icon. Despite the psychedelic colours of the new logo for Nightly releases, it is safe to assume it will come back to the regular orange, blue and yellow colour scheme for stable builds of Firefox.
Firefox 57 will introduce several features that users will notice from the get go, but, also comes packed with under the hood components that will significantly improve the browser's speed and security.
