‘X-Men: New Mutants’ Director Provides A First Glimpse Of The Film's Bloody Logo
By Izza Sofia, 13 Sep 2017
New Mutants director Josh Boone unveils the movie’s logo, as he announces the last week of filming.
New Mutants is the first of three X-Menfilms set to hit theaters next year—the other two includes Deadpool 2 and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. It involves five young mutants who are discovering their abilities and must work together while trapped in a secret facility.
Boone posted a photo on Instagram of the New Mutants clapperboard with the caption announcing this is the last week of filming on the movie. The clapperboard also features an image of the New Mutants logo, which resembles that of the titular team’s 1980s comic book run, but with quite a bit of blood spatter.
The characters in the movie are Illyana Rasputin aks Magik (Anya Taylor-Joy), Rahne Sinclair aka Wolfsbane (Maisie Williams), Sam Guthrie aka Cannonball (Charlie Heaton), and Roberto da Costa aka Sunspot (Henry Zaga).
In terms of what this official logo reveals about the film, the blood-spattered words and snow seemingly affirm that New Mutants will be a horror movie, as Boone previously said.
The movie is set to debut in April 2018 so it may be some time before we get to watch a trailer, but the first teaser will likely arrive before the end of 2017.
