Behold—The iPhone X Has Successfully Been Jailbroken… On Stage
By Izza Sofia, 12 Nov 2017
The iPhone X is still brand new, but a hacker in South Korea has managed to figure out how to jailbreak the device.
For those who prefer the iOS platform, but despise the restrictions in place, there is now a glimpse of hope. The first demo of a jailbreak on a current iOS build has revealed itself.
Liang Chen of Tencent Keen Lab demonstrated the first working on iOS version 11.1.1 running on an iPhone X. This live demo happened at the POC 2017 security and hacking conference in South Korea.
While it is not known when the jailbreak will be available to public, it is likely to be very soon as the hack was running on a version of iOS released yesterday.
Hopefully this loophole would mean that Apple would work on more secure versions of iOS in the future.
