Spotify’s Christmas Artwork Gets Likened To Worms, Sperms And More

Spotify might be ushering in the festive mood with its holiday singles, but its accompanying artwork certainly isn’t.
“There’s nothing objectively wrong with this. If I were to complain I’d say it looks a little half-finished. Apart from that I don’t feel very strongly about it either way. Just another bit of ephemeral graphic design you’ll never [see] again come the new year, “ wrote Reddit user 89XE10 on the ‘r/graphic_design’ thread ‘@Spotify what is with this Christmas artwork?’
Others, however, are likening it to petri dishes filled with bacterial worms, confetti, and sperms.
Fortunately, the brand’s year-end campaign that once again exposes your amusing listening habits is nothing like these graphics. Although, once you perceive those white squiggly lines as worms or sperms, it becomes hard to un-see when you look at Spotify’s billboards.
