Missguided Includes Diverse Models, Stretch Marks & Cellulite In Latest Campaign
By Izza Sofia, 14 Dec 2017
Women’s fashion retailer Missguided has launched its new ‘Make Your Mark’ campaign that features un-airbrushed models. It aims to reflect the brand's messaging that women should be confident in their own skin.
Those who star in this particular campaign are largely social media personalities and models, including Emily Bador, Felicity Hayward, artist Jade Laurice, Tinar and Sam Rowswell.
The models, who are of various sizes, skin tones and body types, pose in cute bralettes, fur coats and lacy underwear. Stretch marks, tummy rolls and cellulite are not hidden in the least, and the models speak out about loving every inch of their bodies.
“I think it’s super important that we promote body confidence because let’s face it we were all born into this world as an individual and our individuality makes us beautiful,” says Felicity Hayward, a model and body positive activist.
“As part of our new #KeepOnBeingYou movement, we’re on a mission to inspire babes over the world to love themselves, for themselves, to embrace your flaws and to not strive for what the world perceives as perfection,” Missguided writes on its site.
“Because f*ck perfection, it doesn’t exist. We are making a pledge to never retouch our models’ perfect ‘imperfections’ out.”
