McDonald’s Modifies Its Logo Especially For International Women’s Day

In celebration of International Women’s Day, McDonald’s has boldly flipped its hallmark ‘Golden Arches’ for “the first time in our brand history.”
The fast food giant has selected Patricia Williams, a three-decade-long owner and operator of Los Angeles-based franchises, to display the special ‘W’ sign outside her store in Lynwood, California.
Wendy Lewis, the company’s Global Chief Diversity Officer, described that six out of 10 McDonald’s restaurant managers are female, and that the revised logo will serve to salute accomplished “women everywhere and especially in our restaurants.”
To ensure word gets around, McDonald’s will update its branding on its social network accounts on Thursday, 8 March 2018. 100 outlets will also feature special packaging, uniforms, and bag stuffers to honor women.
