‘Avengers’ Unite With Japanese Anime Characters For A Superhero Mashup
By Izza Sofia, 16 Apr 2018
The hype following the release of the highly-anticipated Avengers: Infinity War film has managed to cross over to the world of anime.
The ‘Avengers’ have united with the characters from one of the biggest superhero anime series, My Hero Academia, for a special trailer.
It was created to celebrate the third season of the anime, which recently premiered. It also acknowledges the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movie, which will hit cinemas on 27 April.
Aside from the trailer, videos featuring different ‘Avengers’ are seen alongside the various anime characters. Each video draws parallels between the two different characters. For example ‘Todoroki’ and ‘Thor’—both of who use natural elements for fighting and have fathers with special powers—are starred together.
‘Young Midoriya’ is compared to ‘Captain America’, as both characters are compassionate, and are keen on helping people. Those who are big fans of the anime as well as the movie can vote for their favorite video and stand a chance to win one of 20 My Hero Academia and Avengers: Infinity War poster sets.
Simply follow the Twitter accounts of @AVG_JP as well as @heroaca_anime, and use the hashtag ‘#アベンジャーズ_ヒロアカヒーロー投票’.
