Paul Smith’s Iconic Stripes Take Over Porsche’s 1965 Car In Ultra Cute Redesign
By Yoon Sann Wong, 09 Jul 2018
Over the weekend, Porsche graced the Le Mans Classic vintage sports car event in a pleasantly surprising way that’s garnered a great deal of attention.
Porsche’s 1965 ‘911’ model was given a fun and bold redesign by way of British brand Paul Smith’s iconic multicolored stripes. The aesthetic continues from the automobile’s exterior to interior, which houses a dark green roll cage, black leather steering wheel and wooden gear knob.
The makeover is a special collaboration project between Paul Smith and James Turner—Porsche enthusiast and founder of Sports Purpose that’s dedicated to Porsche customizations.
Turner explained that he’d always been a fan of Paul Smith and was “absolutely thrilled” with the outcome of the teamwork.
