Volvo Updates Traditional Family-Parking Signs With The ‘New Family Model’

For years, family-parking signage in UK’s car parks has shown the traditional icons depicting one mom, one dad, and a baby carriage. In reality, however, the modern family is anything but.
To promote its new ‘V60’ premium mid-sized car, family-centric automobile brand Volvo partnered with creative agency Grey London to celebrate the diversity of modern families.
The team recreated these family-parking signs to include same-sex couples, nuclear families, and single parents that more accurately reflect reality.
The updated icons were rolled out as a trial in collaboration with Westfield London in Shepherds Bush.
