September 2018 marks the month where people—or rather, queens—of color finally take their thrones on magazine covers.
Rihanna became the first black woman in history to front British Vogue magazine’s September issue, and Beyoncé enlisted what would be American Vogue’s first-ever black photographer for her September shoot.
In spite of these achievements, some readers weren’t satiated. Fans of both camps ended up feuding over which shoot was better, not only because the two acclaimed singers had darker skin, but also because of how similar the spreads were executed. Both stars looked regal and donned flower crowns.
Turning the situation around, fashion-focused Instagram account Diet Prada paid tribute to the milestones and seamlessly merged the faces of Beyoncé and Rihanna to create a wholly new role model that younger generations can look up to.
The fresh-faced, fictional celebrity sports Rihanna’s nose and luscious pout, as well as Beyoncé’s eyebrows and powerful smize. The end result is seriously ethereal. Where can you book a ticket to get to the alternate dimension where Queen ‘Rihyoncé’ exists?
“Best September ever,” the Instagrammer said. It’s hard to disagree. The result certainly beats the Trump and Putin mega alter ego, where the faces of both world leaders were merged together as one for TIME magazine’s optical illusion cover.
