Trump’s Space Force Logos Get Mocked For Being Unoriginal And Juvenile-Looking

Each time Trump’s administration tries its hand at designing logos, things seem to fall through.
Months after an announcement that the US President wanted to open an outer space-focused military unit called the ‘Space Force’, a screenshot showing what are said to be official logo iterations started circulating around Twitter.
Per NBC News national correspondent Peter Alexander, the snapshot came from an email sent out to Trump’s supporters that asked for them to vote for their favorite.
The recipients were reportedly given “a final decision on the design we will use to commemorate President Trump’s new ‘Space Force’—and he wants YOU to have a say.”
Even though several citizens were not in this subscription list, they decided to partake in their own voting process that saw the proposed brandings being trolled and modified to better represent the current state of affairs.
Twitter users pointed out that one of the iterations resembled the NASA logo. Some also ridiculed the logomarks for looking too juvenile for a government-ruled agency, and said that they resembled signage for “Disney rides.”
It makes one wonder why Bloomberg Businessweek’s proposed logos, which were created by eight renowned designers, weren’t put into consideration at all.
Check out some reactions from the internet, which are—if the expression isn’t done to death already—out of this world.

The Trump campaign wants people to vote on a new logo for @realDonaldTrump's proposed #SpaceForce and they want you to buy a new "line of gear." Setting aside questions about the appropriateness of all this, keep in mind there may never be a Space Force. pic.twitter.com/TNoX285knV— Justin Fishel (@JustinFishelABC) August 9, 2018
If the Trump campaign's design for a Space Force logo looks familiar, that's because it is. pic.twitter.com/ZI6WnyqJm3— Christina Wilkie (@christinawilkie) August 9, 2018
I'm old enough to remember when the military's already existing space force used this logo, which it still does because it already exists pic.twitter.com/4ih7i3jRqY— Aaron Sankin (@ASankin) August 9, 2018
Honestly though I like some of these in a "cool decal for a model spaceship/logo for a space-centric video game" sort of way? It's too bad that they're actually intended for a BRANCH OF THE U.S. ARMED FORCES https://t.co/gR5BKQ5itg— Andrew Cunningham (@AndrewWrites) August 9, 2018

Cute, but like... The Space Force would have literally nothing to do with Mars? Unless... I guess we could go to war with Martians, then this this logo might be relevant. pic.twitter.com/LnoiVjnqfp— Miriam Kramer (@mirikramer) August 9, 2018
