The BOLI awards program recognizes advertising and marketing communications work for Long Island based companies and advertising agencies. Thousands of submissions are made into a number of categories ranging from print to Internet to radio and television. This year's BOLI awards show was no different, and close to seven hundred guests attended the event at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale.
The organizers of this year's event, as well as with previous BOLI competitions, are members of the Long Island Advertising Club (www.liac.org). Since the club's founding in 1973, the annual BOLI's have become one of the most prestigious business competitions in the major metropolitan New York region.
By the end of the night L. F. O'Connell Associates had found success across several different fields of advertising and marketing. Among their awards, they won Best of Category for: non-retail radio, direct mail series, e-mail marketing, out-of-home advertising, business-to-business print ad, web design, institutional advertising, brochure design, and the highest honor of the show, Campaign of The Year for Polytechnic University.
O'Connell also won Gold for Campaign of The Year for Queensborough Community College. Their other award-winning clients include Brinks Document Destruction, New York Institute of Technology, and Prudential Douglas Elliman.
