Lynda.com Releases Search Engine Optimization
Lynda.com, the company specializing in self-paced career and computer training in digital media and design, introduced a new title today: Search Engine Optimization with Richard John Jenkins.

If you're out of sight on the Web, says Search Engine Optimization instructor Richard John Jenkins, you're out of mind. Braving the wilds of search engine myths and facts, Jenkins offers essential tips on how to appear at the top of search results in Yahoo!, Google, and other popular search engines. From purchasing placement to optimizing keyword variations, from avoiding "black hat" SEO practices to setting up a search-friendly site, Jenkins covers it all. He also shares how to best submit Web pages for indexing, how to monitor page rank, and how to build a solid base of links to a site. This video tutorial is for experienced website publishers and for those just getting into the Web game.

"Search engines have become the virtual equivalent of bookstores and libraries of the past; today most people would rather type something into Google or Yahoo! than step away from their desks to find information. Making sure that your business is findable is one of the most important pieces of marketing there is, and this training title should be useful to anyone interested in raising their search listings," says Lynda Weinman, CEO of lynda.com

Anyone with an Internet connection can access Search Engine Optimization in lynda.com's Online Training Library™. A separate CD version of Search Engine Optimization is scheduled for release in late August.

Subscriptions to the lynda.com Online Training Library start at $25 per month, and provide access to more than 14,000 movie tutorials covering a wide range of software, techniques, and technology career tools. Subscribers can access any of the computer-based training titles at their convenience. Multi-user subscriptions are also available for companies and institutions seeking to provide education and training to groups.
