14 years ago, Jason Momoa zealously took up the opportunity to restore his wife Lisa Bonet’s first car, the vintage 1956 Mustang.
He has finally completed the project, and in a video titled My Wife’s First Mustang, he documents the overhaul that was “14 years in the making.” The Aquaman actor reveals in the video that Bonet purchased the car when she was 17 years old.
“I know we can’t relive a memory, but maybe we can rebuild one,” Momoa says at the start of the clip.
He also highlights that the Mustang is “one of three ever made,” and features numerous custom parts. After his successful attempt at reviving the Mustang, Momoa is visibly moved as he looks at the finished product.
“I never thought that it would look like this,” he declares in the video.
