Halloween is around the corner, but the coronavirus pandemic is still dauntingly present. This year, opt for festivities that keep you and your loved ones safe.
You can try hosting horror movie marathons, but be sure to have the screenings only with members of your household.
There are bountiful frightening films coming to various streaming platforms this spooky season. Here are some of them you can consider watching.
The Lie
The 2018 psychological horror film surrounds two parents who attempt to cover up a fatal mistake done by their daughter. Directed by Veena Sud, the film features Mireille Enos, Peter Sarsgaard, and Joey King.
The Lie will be available on Amazon from 6 October 2020.
Evil Eye
The upcoming film echoes the adage, “mother knows best.” The thriller is directed by Elan and Rajeev Dassani and stars Sarita Choudhury, Sunita Mani, and Omar Maskati.
Jason Blum and Priyanka Chopra also served as executive producers for the film under their respective production houses, Blumhouse Productions, and Purple Pebble Pictures.
Evil Eye will be released on Netflix on 13 October 2020.
The Haunting of Bly Manor
The American supernatural horror series is loosely based on the 1898 horror book The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. The movie was created and directed by Mike Flanagan, who is known for his expansive list of horror flicks including Doctor Sleep and Oculus.
The Haunting of Bly Manor is set to be out on 9 October 2020 on Netflix.
Helstrom
The 2020 television series is based on the Marvel comic characters Daimon and Satana Hellstrom, who are the children of a powerful serial killer. However, it will be a standalone series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The two roles are played by Tom Austen and Sydney Lemmon respectively.
Helstrom will be released on Hulu on 16 October 2020.
