Apple is set to launch its next-generation AirPods and AirPods Pro next year, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The news website reported that the tech company is working on the new AirPods, which will resemble the current AirPods Pro with a shorter stem and replaceable ear tips. However, they will not come with the noise cancellation feature unique to the premium option.
Apple is also purportedly redesigning the AirPods Pro to be more rounded in shape to better fit the wearer’s ears. Since it’s still quite early on, the design might change by the time Apple is ready with the final version.
Bloomberg also speculated the audio gadgets will be released in the first half of 2021.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Debby Wu, Apple plans to launch 3rd gen AirPods in early 2021 and 2nd gen AirPods Pro in late 2021. The new AirPods will feature a AirPods Pro-like design while the new AirPods Pro will feature a more rounded design without a stem pic.twitter.com/3LHhJMMfvX
