The famous children’s book Clifford the Big Red Dog is getting a live-action remake, and the latest teaser trailer for the movie isn’t sitting right with many people.
For those who aren’t aware of the classic book, it is basically about a giant red dog named Clifford. Though the character seems lovable in the book series, the live-action version is being described by readers as a “nightmare.”
One user even joked about the dog’s red fur in a tweet reading, “Clifford is already drenched in the blood of his enemies and he isn’t finished.”
Some other users also came to the dog’s defense, claiming that the dog appears the way he was described in the books.
Clifford, directed by Walt Becker, is set to release in 2021. It will star Darby Camp, Jack Whitehall, Kenan Thompson, Rosie Perez, and Sienna Guillory.
Watch the teaser below. Do you think he as friendly as depicted in the books?

I'm grateful to be free of any professional obligations which previously would have prevented me from telling this movie to its face that it looks like a nightmare and I'll never watch it. #GiveThanks https://t.co/YNh3acJipY
