Live Nation ‘Shuffles’ Events With Scratch Tickets That Pick Your Entertainment
By Alexa Heah, 26 Jan 2023
Live entertainment organizers Live Nation and Luger are giving fans in Switzerland the chance to experience a different kind of concert. Dubbed ‘Shuffle Tickets’, these coupons will grant you entry to see an artist play in person, but you won’t know which one.
One scratch ticket, much like for the lottery, costs the same price, and will allow two guests into a concert experience in Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Malmö. Among the show options is an arena tour with Coldplay or Bruce Springsteen, a club night with The Chats, or even Lollapalooza.
There’s a gig for music lovers of every taste, considering even international artists are in the mix, such as the likes of The Weeknd and Arctic Monkeys, alongside homegrown acts First Aid Kit, Molly Hammer, and Gyllene Tider.
According to LBB Online, it seems like this marketing campaign—which aims to lure young people to events—is working, with the first drop of tickets all sold out within minutes. A second and third launch has been scheduled to take place on February 1 and February 8, 2023.
Emilie Olson Lignell, Project and Campaign Manager at Live Nation Sweden, likens the experience to a playlist on shuffle. With it being a great way to discover new favorites, why not try the same—but with live shows?
The Shuffle Ticket can be purchased for €30 (US$32) on the official website.
