Otter AI’s Chatbot Keeps Track Of What To Do When You Zone Out From Meetings
If ChatGPT has made life easier for office workers, there’s now a new chatbot that aims to do even more for those who dread work meetings. Otter AI recently unveiled its latest “collaborative AI intelligence” that will act as a help center for those forced to sit through dreary discussions.
Otter AI’s chatbot will pay close attention to the ongoing meeting, so it can transcribe data and summarize what’s been said into a simple-to-understand conversation. This means those who’ve stepped out for a bathroom break can return to ask it questions about what has transpired.
Cleverly dubbed OtterPilot—which just so happens to sound like “autopilot”—the feature will do more than just provide accurate real-time answers to employees’ questions. It can aid workers in generating follow-up content based on the meeting, including summaries, emails, and blog posts.
CEO Sam Liang explained that the chatbot differed from ChatGPT as the latter’s information is based on public data, while Otterpilot gathers data about personalized team meetings. It helps collaborate content from multiple people, unlike OpenAI’s chatbot, that’s just a one-to-one chat.
“It’s a transformational leap forward that empowers teams to tap into the fullest value of their meetings in a collaborative an AI-intelligent way—right when and where they need it,” Liang added.
Otter AI Chat will be rolling out to users globally within the coming days. As with the other features of the application, data used while engaging with the chatbot will not be stored by any third parties.
