Creative Manager Pro offer full project management, CRM, digital asset management, billing and accounting, and Extranet capabilities.
Ron Ause, Creative Manager's director of marketing promised "more powerful features in every upgrade." This version has "added security settings on custom report data sets," allowing group members access to run a report, say, but not edit it.
Media enhancements are also included in this new version. Improvements to the Transaction Preference function provide users the option to sync vendor invoices from Strata and SmartPlus as "approved" or "not approved." Other upgrades offer logic to determine the outstanding open amount on a vendor invoice being applied to pre-billed orders when importing form Strata or SmartPlus.
When Creative Manager announced the release of version 8.2 of Creative Manager Pro last November, they touted the "improvements based on the advice of Ad Agency consultant Tony Mikes of Second Wind Network," according to company officials.
Mikes said that the turnaround time of Billing Worksheets is "one the top three issues that affect the financial success of an ad agency. Faster and easier billing means less invoicing disputes, lower cost of billing, and dramatic improvements to cash flow."
"Our competitors release a new version about once a year, while we introduce enhancements to our software about every four to six weeks," claims Ause.
Creative Manager Pro has also added new features that work with Apple's latest Tiger Mac OS X and future Leopard Unix-based Operating System and Microsoft Windows.
And the company does mean what it says when it promises a fairly frequent flow of new models -- it introduced Creative Manager Pro 7.5 in January 2005.
At the time company officials touted its "new scheduling features, new reporting features, tighter integration with Mac OS X 10.3.7," and new financial reports such as "Cash Basis Income Statements, and Statement of Cash Flow."
