Nikon Canada Announces Holiday Line-Up

This holiday season, digital photography lets users see and share the world from entirely new angles. Nikon Canada's new compact and digital single lens reflex (SLR) camera offerings are reaching new heights of performance, making great gift ideas for photographers of any skill level.

"This holiday season, we're giving consumers more of the great variety
and functionality they have come to expect from Nikon," said Greg Flasch,

SLRs continue to push the envelope on performance and our compact cameras
offer more exciting new ways than ever to share and enjoy your holiday


In Nikon's L series of COOLPIX cameras, the "L" stands for life. The
COOLPIX L4 is streamlined and comfortable to hold, with a smooth finish,
curved grip and lightweight body. The camera offers 4.0 megapixels and a
choice of 15 different Scene Modes, four with Scene Assist, making it easy to
achieve desired results in a wide range of everyday situations. Just choose
the Scene Mode best suited to the subject at hand and the COOLPIX L4
automatically selects the ideal settings for the picture, whether at an indoor
party or an outdoor holiday light show. Scene Assist displays useful framing
guides in the monitor, helping users compose shots for optimal results. The
camera also offers Nikon's Image Innovation features: Face-Priority AF(*), which focuses on framed faces for sharper results, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, and
D-Lighting, which adds light and detail to darkened images.

Continuing the L series, the COOLPIX L5 lets users get the most out of
life and out of their camera, offering 7.2 megapixels and a 5x Zoom-Nikkor
lens featuring optical Vibration Reduction (VR) for superior results.
Composition and playback are easy and clear thanks to the large 2.5-inch LCD
backlight screen. For added convenience, the camera also offers Nikon's
One-touch portrait button, providing direct access to three of Nikon's Image
Innovation features: Face-Priority AF(*), In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, and D-Lighting,so no matter where the holidays take you, you're ready to capture the moment.
