Reina Sofia Museum To Hold Biggest Picasso Exhibition
The Reina Sofia Museum will hold the most ambicious exhibition on Pablo Picasso in 2008. The Musée Picasso in Paris will loan more than 400 works thanks to an agreement that was just signed by the French and Spanish governments. The Reina Sofia Museum has Picasso's Guernica and this will be the most complete Picasso exhibitions ever.

Spanish President Zapatero stated, "The Museo Reina Sofía will hold in 2008 an exhibition with 400 works by Picasso from the Picasso Museum in Paris." The announcement was made together with French President Jacques Chirac after the Girona summit.

Picasso lived many years exiled in Paris and died in 1973. His heirs left many of his works to the French state, leading to the creation of the Musée Picasso in Paris, the main center of study of the work and life of the artist.
