WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., Dec. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- After a six-month review process, Heineken USA, the nation's largest import beer company, today announced two agencies remain in its it competitive review for the advertising agency of record for the Heineken Brand. New York-based agencies Berlin Cameron United and Wieden+Kennedy are the two agencies under consideration for the English-language assignment, which will support both Heineken Lager and Heineken Premium Light in the United States.
"We entered this process to identify an advertising agency that will support our goals to drive growth and build equity for the Heineken Brand, and we have been impressed with the insight, creativity and energy we have seen from the teams at Berlin Cameron and Wieden+Kennedy. The advertising agency selected will be charged with creating insight-driven communications that build upon the entire Heineken brand equity, including supporting the growth of flagship brand Heineken Lager, and helping to build continued momentum for Heineken Premium Light in the second year of its national distribution.
Heineken anticipates the announcement of the selected agency in January 2007, when the assignment will be effective.
MediaVest USA will continue to handle media planning and buying for the Heineken USA brands, including Amstel Light, Heineken Lager and Heineken Light, and this work is not part of the review process.
