MANASSAS, Va., Dec. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard A. Viguerie, Chairman of American Target Advertising, Inc., today announced the appointment of Kathleen Patten as Chief Executive Officer and President of the direct response- marketing firm.
Viguerie said that Mark Fitzgibbons remains as the President of Corporate and Legal Affairs at ATA.
Ms. Patten has served as Chief Operating Officer of American Target Advertising for the past eighteen months. She re-joined the firm in September 2003. She had previously worked at The Viguerie Company, the predecessor to ATA, for two years (1987-1989) after graduating from The College of William and Mary.
"As COO," Viguerie said, "Kathleen has been responsible for restructuring ATA and preparing for a major growth cycle as the agency expands its base of charitable and ideological clients as well as moves into new areas of non- profit marketing including colleges. In 2007 ATA will also expand beyond direct mail into major donor and Internet marketing."
Viguerie added, "Now as she takes on her new responsibilities as CEO and President, I will be able to concentrate on long-term company strategy, including the development of a major Internet-based project."
