Fandango Appoints Former Yahoo! Exec Daniel V. Murray as CFO
PRESS RELEASE

Los Angeles (PRWeb) January 18, 2007 -- Fandango, the nation's largest online, phone and mobile movie ticketing and entertainment destination, announced today that it is appointing Daniel V. Murray as Chief Financial Officer. As a key member of the Fandango executive team, Murray will oversee the financial management of the company, as well as playing a key role in Fandango's strategic operations, business intelligence, business plans, financial affairs and administrative functions. He will report directly to Chuck Davis, Chairman and CEO of Fandango.

Murray has more than two decades of experience leading companies through periods of financial growth, from start-up companies and new business units within mid-cap public companies to Fortune 500 firms.

Murray was formerly the CFO and SVP of Global Operations for Academy123, a venture-funded start-up that provides online math homework help for students of all ages. Less than two years into the company's operations, Academy123 was acquired by Discovery Communications, the leading global real-world and knowledge-based media company.

Prior to joining Academy123, Murray was VP of International Finance at Yahoo! where he was responsible for both Finance and Controllership functions for the company's international business units, representing 26% of total company revenues.

Murray's expertise in leading Internet companies was honed at Overture, the Pasadena-based pioneer of pay-for-performance search services, which was acquired by Yahoo! in 2003 for $1.63 billion. At Overture, Murray led the company's international finance operations, set strategy and helped realize the growth of the unit from the start-up stage to market leadership in more than a dozen countries.

Prior to Overture, Murray worked for fifteen years in the consumer products and financial services industries. Part of this time, Murray lived in China where he worked as an executive for The Quaker Oats Company. Murray holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, a BS in Finance from Penn State University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

"We are thrilled to have Dan join the Fandango team, to help us build upon an already strong foundation," says Chuck Davis, Chairman and CEO of Fandango. "Dan is an important new hire for us, as he will help grow our business, not just financially, but operationally as well. His twenty years of shaping the success of private and public companies, his financial savvy and his breadth of experience will help accelerate Fandango's continued growth."
