Rockport Partners with Urban Celebrities to Launch National Ad Campaign

CANTON, Mass., Feb. 8 -- Building on its momentum in the urban marketplace, The Rockport Company -- a global leader in the premium lifestyle footwear category -- will launch a national advertising campaign featuring four up-and-coming stars from the worlds of music, entertainment and fashion to promote its Established 1971 collection.

The ad campaign, launching spring 2007 in select magazines, will showcase the unique styles of R&B sensation Lyfe Jennings; acclaimed actor, Wood Harris; rising hip-hop artist, Yung Joc; and MTV television personality, Coltrane Curtis.

"We identified four, dynamic entrepreneurs sharing Rockport's passion for innovation and self-expression," said Curtis Charles, Rockport senior vice president of sales. "The Established 1971 collection is about individualism and authentic flavor and style. Rockport is building an underground following by combining fresh, fashion-driven designs with core comfort features and technologies inherent to our brand."

Set in Miami, the ad campaign, expanding Rockport's Differences Inside theme, will highlight the versatility and breadth of the Established 1971 collection by showcasing the distinct personality and style of each celebrity.

In addition to appearing in the ad campaign, the featured celebrities will participate in special Established 1971 events in designated local markets. The Rockport Established 1971 collection, with men's urban dress, casual and outdoor looks, is available exclusively at select national retailers and premiere independent stores.
