NEW YORK, Feb. 26 -- OgilvyAction, the global activation services company for The Ogilvy Group, recently added Ian Thomas as Executive Vice President and Managing Partner. Thomas, who comes from the London OgilvyAction office, will lead the Creative Services Group in the New York office.

"Ian will lead overall creative services for the New York office and serve as a key, strategic contributor to our business and clients."
At OgilvyAction, Thomas will develop the overall vision for the department, as well as instill a culture of creative excellence across all aspects of the business. In addition, he will be charged with pursuing substantial growth of existing client business and leading new business development and efforts.

Thomas will lead a team of Group Creative Directors in the New York office and will serve on the agency's North American Executive Committee.
Thomas, a British native, comes to New York from the London office of OgilvyAction, where he was a Global Creative Director. Prior, Thomas served as Creative Director for Publicis Dialog. He led the 14 team department and pioneered planning and strategic thinking for clients including Renault, Zurich Insurance, Powergen, Procter & Gamble and Hewlett Packard.
