Artists Talk on Art presents: Friday, March 2, Natvar Bhavsar in Dialog: The Language of Color, a discussion between contemporary abstract painter Natvar Bhavsar and gallery owner and curator Sundaram Tagore. Bhavsar left India in the early 1960s and soon after joined the New York school of colorists, painting with Adolph Gottlieb, Mark Rothko and Barnett Newman; and Friday, March 16, Let the Sound Do the Talking, a panel discussing practices in sound art and contemporary music. Moderated by independent curator Ombretta Agro, the panelists include artist Paololluca Barbieri, artist and composer Joe Diebes, artist Charlie Morrow, musician and composer Phil Kline and artist and director of Diapason Gallery Michael Schumacher. ATOA events take place at 7pm in the Amphitheater, 209 East 23rd Street, 3rd floor. Admission is free for SVA students, faculty, staff and ATOA members; $7 regular admission; $3 for SVA alumni, non-SVA students and seniors.

Distinguished Alumnus Lecture: As a part of the Distinguished Alumni Lecture Series, SVA alumnus Drew Hodges (BFA 1984 Graphic Design) will speak about his work as the founder and CEO of SpotCo, New York's innovative full-service advertising agency for the theatrical industry. Tuesday, March 13, 7pm, in the Amphitheater, 209 East 23rd Street, 3rd floor. Free and open to the public.
BFA Advertising and Graphic Design Department Exhibition: An exhibition featuring the portfolio work of senior BFA Advertising and Graphic Design Department students. March 20 - 30, at the Art Directors Club, 106 West 29 Street. Reception: Tuesday, March 20, 6 - 8pm.

Art Therapy Lecture: The MPS Art Therapy Department presents Saga Graham, ATR, LCAT, who will discuss somatics and the concept that we are our bodies. Graham has worked mostly with cancer patients and has analyzed the coping resources and possibilities patients face with a life-threatening illness. Using art therapy as a link to connect to our bodies on a visceral level, we may increase our sensing, feeling and action towards physical and mental health.
