RFP: Mentoring Programs in the Arts
New York -- In its mission to support arts and arts service organizations through creating educational opportunities, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts recently announced a Request For Proposals (RFP) to implement mentoring programs in the arts for individuals with disabilities.

The aim of this project is to provide individuals with disabilities who are interested in a career in the arts to explore and develop their talents with the mentoring from a working arts professional. From performing arts to visual arts, graphic design to multimedia, mentorships can be in any arts-related discipline.

Proposals may also include a request for up to $15, 000 in support for projects carried out between February 2004 and December 2004. This is a project jointly supported by the National Endowment for the Arts and U.S. Department of Education Office of Special Education Programs.

If you are interested, please submit your proposal before Dec 15, 2003. For detailed information on the proposal requirements or to request an application, e-mail access@kennedy-center.org or call (202) 416-8727.
