It is less than a month till Christmas and brands are rolling out their themed spots in celebration of the festivity.

Following John Lewis’s Christmas ad that’s touching, cute and funny all in one, as well as Apple’s saccharine entry that holds a message the world needs right now, comes this new Wes Anderson-directed take for fashion retail brand H&M.

The ad titled ‘Come Together’ was shot in Anderson’s signature style featuring the distinct use of symmetry, pleasing pastel hues and quirky characters. It was put together in partnership with agency adam&eveDDB and stars actor Adrien Brody.

The film is set on a train, which gets delayed due to bad winter weather. All the cast members are decked in H&M’s holiday line.

“The winter train ride, under Wes Anderson’s direction, is the perfect setting for H&M’s holiday collection full of relaxed, wearable elegance,” explained Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s head of design and creative director.

Brody added, “This story may resonate more than ever at a time in the world where we could all do with giving a stranger a hug.”
