events that happened in 2016, we can probably all agree that it has been a rather weird year.
nobody can put that in perspective better than Spotify did with its latest global ad campaign, ‘Thanks, 2016. It’s been weird.’
across 14 markets, the music-streaming service put up localized outdoor ads, exposing their listeners for their strange, and sometimes embarrassing, streaming habits.

by Spotify’s in-house creative team, the humorous ads have caught the attention of many with its messages that are relevant to pop culture and major events of 2016, including Hamilton and Brexit.
