Google Reveals 2017’s Top Searches For Holiday Gifts To Keep You Inspired

It’s not too late to look for great, memorable gifts—Google has just unveiled its insights for what consumers are researching for more informed end-of-year shopping decisions.

Interestingly, Google says queries in early November were primarily generic and excluded brand names. These consisted of phrases like “Black Friday furniture sale” and “Black Friday makeup deals.”

Later on, users began narrowing down their scopes and looking up specific brands and items.

According to Google, classic brands like “Vans, Canada Goose, and Nike Air Jordan 11” are still at the top of shoppers’ minds.



Celebrity-endorsed brands

2017 saw an influx of products backed by celebrities, and people just adore them. Top searches include Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty line, Kevin Durant’s ‘Nike KD 10’, and the Pharrell x Adidas collection.

Gifts for gamers

Queries for gaming products have spiked this year. These include the Razer Phone, ‘Call of Duty WWII’, and Nintendo Switch—which, unsurprisingly, also crowned TIME’s list of top gadgets for 2017.
