LOL: Burger King Refuses To Sell ‘Whopper’, Asks Customers To Go To McDonald’s
For anyone who loves
Burger King’s ‘Whopper’, imagine heading to its restaurant only to find that the chain refuses to sell you the burger—and not just that particular outlet, all 107 of its restaurants in the country.
That’s exactly what went down
in Argentina earlier this month, but it was all for a good cause. Unlike Burger King’s former antics that saw it hijack IT
and hilariously use ‘Pennywise’ to openly mock McDonald’s
, the brand deliberately initiated ‘A Day Without Whopper’ to support the Golden Arches.
On 10 November,
McDonald’s Argentina celebrated ‘McHappy’ day, where all sales from the ‘Big Mac’ would be donated to support children with cancer.
Burger King decided
to join in the cause and launched a stunt spearheaded by agency David
. For every customer who came in asking for the ‘Whopper’, Burger King redirected them to “the place where they don’t flame grill their burgers.”

from its customers below. In case you missed it, see Burger King hit home in its simple, but powerful social experiment on bullying
