iOS Users, You Can Now Transfer Money Directly Via iMessage With Apple Pay Cash

Tired of using third-party apps to digitally transfer money to others? Apple eradicates this hassle with the launch of Apple Pay Cash, a new feature that allows iOS users to send money to one another through iMessage.

Apple began rolling out the feature to those in the US who have downloaded iOS 11.2, which was made available several days ago.

TechCrunch reports that the introduction has been arriving “piece by piece” and that the “feature doesn’t appear to be immediately available to all iOS 11.2 users,” writes Engadget.

While the brand had initially planned to launch Apple Pay Cash alongside iOS 11.2, the debut was delayed as Apple worked on addressing a problem that was causing several iPhones to erratically reboot.

Apple Pay Cash lets you send money taken from a credit or debit card linked to your Apple Wallet. The recipient receives the money in the form of an Apple Pay Cash card that can also be stored inside his or her Apple Wallet.

The receiver can choose to transfer this amount into a bank account, or retain it in its card form before spending it at any merchant that accepts Apple Pay.
