Soon, you won’t be frustrated with tangled earpieces or missing AirPods—Apple is reportedly debuting a new pair of premium headphones this year.

According to a memo released over the weekend by prominent Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company is expected to introduce “high-end over-ear” audio headpieces in late Fall 2018 “at the earliest.”

Kuo did not elaborate much, but his account of a wholly new design indicates that it will not likely resemble the ‘Beats Studio3’, which is powered by the Apple W1 chip.

Currently, the ‘Beats Studio3’ has a more superior audio quality, longer battery lifespan, and better noise-canceling functionalities than the AirPods, thanks to its size and form.

An earlier report by Bloomberg this month suggested that Apple could be working on at least two updates of the AirPods, with one launching this year. 2018’s version will allegedly be ‘Siri’-driven and have an improved wireless performance.

The addition of original over-ear headphones would add a nice touch to Apple’s growing audio variety, which—apart from the conveniently-sized AirPods—also includes the newly-launched HomePod.
