3D Goggles for Your iPhone
By Anthea Quay, 25 Aug 2011
The iPhone Virtual Reality Viewer couples with an iPhone or iPod Touch to let users experience three-dimensional visuals.
The rather unwieldy-looking device attaches to the iPhone and is used like a pair of binoculars. It has two finger holes at the bottom for accessing the screen.
It won’t turn the videos you already have into 3D but instead comes with free apps like movie trailers and other interactive content that make use of the iPhone’s accelerometer to deliver an immersive environment. One such app is a racing game that requires players to tilt and pan the iPhone—and hence, their heads—to steer.
