Artist Creates Textiles Out Of Glitch Images
By Syafiqah Omar, 20 Mar 2012
New York-based artist Phillip Stearns has made a series of blankets inspired from images taken with a broken digital camera, usually known as 'glitch images'.
Called ‘Glitch Textiles’ and made with 100% cotton, Stearns uses glitch images that he shot himself.
According to Stearns, his six-design collection is layered with irony as they are fashioned after corrupted images, which have now been turned into “soft, warm blankets”.
His cool-looking and well-made blankets don’t come cheap though, with prices starting at US$475 pre piece.
