PANTONE Creates Mobile Pop-Up Shop, To Launch Its Makeup Line
By Anthea Quay, 03 Apr 2012
To celebrate the launch of its first beauty collection—that features the 2012 Color of the Year, Tangerine Tango—global color authority PANTONE in collaboration with beauty retailer Sephora have set up a mobile pop-up shop.
The ‘Sephora X Pantone Pop-Up Color Shop’ is shaped as the iconic PANTONE Color Guide—for clients to experience the assortment of makeup and accessories in the iconic color—and showcase the SEPHORA X PANTONE UNIVERSE Color of the Year products.
The shop’s aluminium skin structure, which stands 23-feet tall by 43-feet long—designed and executed by Neverstop—is equipped with fully-functioning mechanized doors that fan out, and sleek and minimalist interior fixtures that feature Tangerine Tango and its harmonized tones, just like the iconic PANTONE Color Guide, according to Neverstop.
The front of the shop will also host a digital screen, featuring real-time Twitter feeds hash-tagged “#sephorapantone”.
The pop-up shop will be located at Chelsea Triangle in from 21 to 30 March, and at The Grove in Los Angeles from 18 to 22 April.
