Beer Brewery Brings Back Old-School Flat-Top Steel Cans
By Anthea Quay, 30 Apr 2012
Winning points for nostalgia, craft brewery company Churchkey Can Co. are bringing back flat-top steel cans for its beer.
Evident to its name, the Churchkey beer cans require church keys to open them—like how they did 50 years ago, according to the company—teaching youngsters how to enjoy a beer the oldschool way, while living up to the company’s motto: “The harder it is to achieve your goal, the greater the satisfaction.”
The beer is a pilsener recipe crafted by homebrewers Lucas Jones and Sean Burke, and contains 4.9% alcohol and a relatively mild score of 29 International Bittering Units.
