Sleep Like The Homeless At This Unusual Swedish Hotel
By Dorothy Tan, 20 Feb 2013
Swedish interactive agency Forsman and Bodenfors has launched an interesting charity campaign to raise awareness for the 3,400 homeless people in Gothenburg—a hotel that lets you book a night at 10 locations where the city’s homeless is likely to rest.
From under the open sky in public parks to damp spots under bridges, the faux Faktum hotel hardly offers the most comfortable of lodgings, but it does make a powerful statement about the plight of the urban homeless.
Each location is open for booking as like at a regular hotel—the money collection from reservation at Faktum goes towards supporting the charity—although it is unlikely that any of the hotel’s guests will actually spend at night there.
A night stay at these sites can also be given as a gift to a friend or one can simply donate money directly to the cause.
