Gorgeous Long Exposure Wedding Photography Shot Under Starry Night Skies
By Dorothy Tan, 19 Jun 2013
California-based photographers Robert Paetz and Felicia Wong, who specialize in wedding photography, have recently started shooting long exposure engagement pictures for couples under stunning night skies.
Dubbed “astro wedding photography”, the resulting images are awe-inspiring, romantic and simply gorgeous—to escape light pollution that blocks out the stars, the photographers and their clients had to get out of the city and into the desert or other “wild places”.
To capture the star-filled night skies, Paetz and Wong often move 100 miles or more outside of any major urban center—they also have to “keep a hawk-like watch on the phases of the moon and the weather forecast”.
Scroll down to view more astro wedding photography, some of which have been taken in Death Valley, the world’s largest “Gold Tier Dark Sky Park”—you can also check out the duo’s portfolio on their website.
