In The Netherlands, Tilted Cube-Shaped Roofs Group Houses Together
By Thia Shi Min, 06 Aug 2013
The cube-shaped houses in The Netherlands are quite a sight to behold.
Called “Kubuswoningen”, these quirky houses were designed by architect Piet Blom as a creative way of building high-density housing, with each cube balanced on a hexagonal-shaped pylon.
With the roof of each house being tilted at 45-degrees, these houses are all attached to each other.
Located on Overblaak Street, beside Blaak Subway station, visitors can take a peek in one of the houses which is open to visitors.
