iPhone 5S’ Fingerprint Scanner Can Recognize Your Cat’s Paw
By Anthea Quay, 20 Sep 2013
A discovery made by TechCrunch’s Natasha Lomas, the new fingerprint sensor of Apple’s iPhone 5S can recognize cat’s paws, for it to unlock the phone.
Users that are cat owners can register their cat’s paw as one of the five Touch ID ‘fingerprints’ on their new iPhones—and when their paws are positioned correctly on the sensor and scanned, the furry pets would be able to access the mobile device.
Lomas also mentioned that the iPhone 5S’ fingerprint sensor also works with the heel of the palm, and the inside of the forearm up around the wrist.
Would you register your cat’s paw to let it unlock your phone for you?
