Geometric Graffiti Art Brings Together A Beautiful Mix Of Shapes & Colors
By Dorothy Tan, 22 Oct 2013
Graffiti artist Matt W. Moore—also known as MWM—specializes in creating colorful geometric patterns that he uses to cover entire walls in public spaces.
A feast for the eyes, his artworks jump out at the viewer with its vibrancy and often exude a sense of three-dimensionality due to the artist’s clever arrangements of contrasting shapes and shades.
When starting on a new piece, Moore first uses sticky tape to mark out the different geometric areas that he would later fill with bright paint—there is a systematic rhythm to his process that is fascinating to witness.
Watch the behind-the-scenes video below to see this talented artist at work on a mural named “Crystals and Lasers”.
