The ‘World’s Largest’ Gingerbread House Fits A Family Of Five
By Thia Shi Min, 09 Dec 2013
To raise money for the trauma program at the nearby St Joseph Hospital, members of the A&M Texas Traditions Club have built the “world’s largest” gingerbread house.
This 22-foot house was made with almost a ton of butter, 7,200 eggs, as well as an immense amount of sugar and flour. 22,304 pieces of candy were used to decorate the house, and this whole confection contains 36 million calories.
The house has set a Guinness World Record, earning a total of US$150,000, averaging 600 visitors a day.
This gigantic confection is open until 14 December 2013.
