Ad Campaign Shows Children Asking Their Gun-Owning Parents To ‘Lock It Up’

New York-based advertising agency Merkley + Partners has produced an ad campaign for the National Crime Prevention Council’s safe firearms storage campaign.
The PSA campaign include a series of television, radio and print ads with the tagline ‘Lock It Up’. It aims to educate people about the importance of safe firearms storage to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.
In the TV ads, parents are portrayed as always asking their children to follow safety rules such as “wear your bike helmet” and “never to run with scissors”. Yet, all the while keeping firearms in drawers that are easily accessible by the children.
