Haunting Photos Of Abandoned Schools Around The World

Photographer Chris Luckhardt has a penchant for seeking out abandoned places around the world and documenting it through his expressive camera captures.
The resourceful shutterbug would rely on online search, word-of-mouth, or even through serendipitous encounters, for his photo adventures.
In the following ‘Abandoned Schools’ series, his images span across America, Canada and Japan.
To Luckhardt, these derelict places convey a sense of inexplicable beauty and a rich aura of history.
He wrote: “Abandoned places are a reflection on our society; they represent where we’ve been and what our future holds. They serve as a warning of mistaken paths and as a message for future possibilities. Witnessing the decay of the past can be a reflection of the possibilities of the future.”
