Designer Becomes Her Own Client To Create Simple, Striking Personal Branding
By Dorothy Tan, 30 Apr 2015
Based in Buenos Alres, Argentina, graphic design student Julia Miceli has recently unveiled a personal branding identity that is striking in its simplicity.
Featuring just three colors—a pastel orange, charcoal and a very light grey—and a single font family, all the elements of this branding project could be applied on both the print and digital self-promotional materials, including her résumé, business card and website.
Allowing for plenty of empty space to draw the eye to the minimal graphic details, a letterpress-inspired logotype of the designer’s initials and a line of irregularly spaced dashes could be seen throughout the project.
According to the Meceli, she “realized how difficult is to search for your real personal identity”, and that “being your own client can be tricky”.
