Cheeky Photos Of Vintage Barbie Dolls Caught In Naughty, Suggestive Scenarios
By Jillian Wong, 11 May 2015
New York City-based artist David Parise takes fun, flirty photos of vintage Barbie dolls caught in naughty scenarios.
It all began when he came across a book on Barbie’s 50th anniversary while living in Miami. Drawn to the retro ’60s looks, he started photographing Barbie dolls and inserting them in front of historical landmarks using Photoshop.
His cheeky images feature a male doll applying sunblock on his topless female companion, and another doll preparing breakfast clad only in an apron.
“All of us loved the glamorous and innocent fun lifestyle of the ’60s or at least what we imagined it to be!”, he states on his website.
Parise initially sold his photos at Miami’s Antique and Collectible Market and was met with such overwhelming response, that he ended up exhibiting at galleries around the US.
He now sells his pictures in parks around New York City, and intends to incorporate more European city backdrops in his work.
Check out some of his images below and pick up a print or two at his online shop.
