This Japanese Smartphone Lets You Pay For Items Effortlessly Using Your Eyes
By Yoon Sann Wong, 14 May 2015
Japan soars ahead of the pack with the world’s first smartphone–the ‘Arrows NX F-04G’–that allows users to pay for their items simply by looking into the front-facing camera.
NTT Docomo unveiled the phone as part of its 2015 summer lineup, and explained that this feat is made possible through iris recognition coupled with fingerprint authentication.
Similar to fingerprints, iris patterns are unique to individuals. When the smartphone camera scans your eyes, it reads your iris pattern to confirm your identity.
